About Dr. Makeya Jenkins
Nashville, the city famous for its country music, iconic southern foods, and family-friendly attractions, has always been the home to Dr. Makeya Jenkins.
Having lived in Tennessee’s capital city for all of her life, she is in the prime position to care for and understand the people who regularly use our practice. With a love for the community and the people around her, Dr. Jenkins works hard to promote better health care for the people around her and believes in only the best treatment methods when supporting the dental health needs of her patients. With a warm, friendly, and caring personality, she takes a humanistic approach when caring for her patients, and gets to know them individually to develop trust before they commit to treatment.
Dr. Jenkin’s professional credentials are strong. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Tennessee State University, and after completing her undergraduate program, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College. To strengthen her skills in the dental field further, she then completed a General Practice Residency Program. The education and training Dr. Jenkins has received have given her the opportunity to advance in a wide range of disciplines, and it has also taught her the best approaches to take when caring for the needs of her patients.
Learning and education don’t end after leaving college, of course, as Dr. Jenkins has taken every chance she gets to learn, grow, and evolve throughout her career. She does this not only for herself, but to ensure that her patients receive the very best in health care and dental information. Holding memberships with the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentists, she is in a prime position to learn more about the latest research happening within the field of dentistry, and she uses this information to improve the lives of the patients she cares for.
In her free time, Dr. Jenkins enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. Together, they enjoy traveling, sports, and board games. Dr. Jenkins enjoys individual hobbies too, and they include reading, listening to podcasts, and cooking.
